Sealing technology of fiber in a feedthroughs enables their use in extreme vacuum or high pressure applications as well as provides for their inertness to many different oils and gasses.

We manufacture feedthroughs with single-mode, multi-mode or polarization maintaining fibers.

Manufactured feedthroughs undergo strict specification inspection and their optical parameters must comply with IEC, CENELEC and Telcordia standards. Feedthroughs are offered with adapter or pigtail type interfaces.

Vacuum fiber optic feedthroughs with adapter interface

  • A feedthrough is interfaced with a flange via O-rings which ensures its easy replacement in a flange due to its damage or due to a need for the use of different fiber in a feedthrough
  • Easy replacement of ferrule’s sleeve inside the adapter on both ends of a feedthrough
  • We offer standard as well as custom flanges of requested material
  • Operating temperature range from - 40°C /+85°C to -40°C /+180°C

Pressure Fiber Optic Feedthrough

  • Suitable in applications with requirements for minimum sizes of feedthroughs respectively higher number of sealed fibers in one flange
  • Made with single-mode or multimode fibers in wavelength range (UV - IR)
  • Arbitrary input and output fiber lengths
  • Different types of connectors including industrial optical connectors
  • Offered with standardized or customized flanges of requested materials
  • Operating temperature range from - 40°C /+85°C to -40°C /+180°C
  • Provide input/output fiber protection with PTFE or stainless steel tubing
  • Versions for high pressure applications (exceeding pressure 100MPa) with presence of gas and oil

Polarization maintaining feedthrough with adapter interface

  • Polarization maintaining vacuum feedthroughs with an adapter interface.
  • High extinction ratio and minimum insertion loss of PM fiber due to special sealing method
  • Adapter featuring feedthroughs with PM/FC terminations, without the need of extra adapter
  • Suitable for ultra-high vacuum applications
  • Adapter feedthrough is sealed within a wall of a flange via O-rings. Feedthrough’s mounting by a customer into a flange is possible.
  • Easy replacement of the connecting sleeve inside adaptor on an in and output side of feedthrough
  • We offer standardized as well as customized flanges made of customer’s preferred material

Hybrid Vacuum Fiber Optic Feedthroughs

  • Adapter Interface FC/PC, FC/APC or SMA905 on natural air pressure side or on vacuum side
  • Customized pigtailed termination (type of connector, pigtail length or mechanical fiber protection)
  • Adapter feedthrough sealed inside the flange via O-rings provides for simple replacement
  • Hybrid feedthrough is available as standalone product or with most of standardized flanges
  • Available with SM, MM or PM fibers
  • Operating temperature -40°C/+ 85°C for SM and MM fibers and -20°C/+70°C for PM fibers
  • Suitable for applications of high and ultra-high vacuum (HV and UHV)
